Our new marine grade White Gear Grease is a premium quality lithium, calcium grease with anti-corrosion and pressure additives. It is designed to combat friction and high load and is extremely resistant to salt and water washout. It can be used on both multipliers and fixed spools and we have found it especially effective with the latter.
We have found it to be a very stable, hard wearing grease and we use it in our workshop on fixed spool reels as the texture and viscosity seems to provide good protection to the reel internals while still ensuring that the reel is free running.
This 5 gram pot provides enough grease to service an average sized reel and is designed for those anglers that just want enough to do a single service. Two pots may be needed to service larger reels.
Customers may also wish to add a 5g service pot of Universal Reel and Star Drag Grease (Tan) (choose your preferred option from the drop down) as this is recommended for drag servicing.
Universal Reel and Star Drag Tan Grease (optional 5g pot) offers maximum protection from corrosion, is fortified with Teflon and Polymers and offers superior heat and wear resistance on larger reels. It is safe to use on all metals and plastics and is recommended by Smooth Drag for use with their replacement Carbontex drag washers to provide a smooth and constant drag system on your reel.
