Avis Booms are an old favourite, particularly with shore anglers. Made from tough plastic, they are 2.5 inches long, tough and streamlined.

For a stronger connection to the snood rather than attaching the snood with a half-blood knot to the eye, pass the snood line through the eye and attach it to the shank of the boom using a grinner or similar knot.
